‘A Christmas Carol’ guided tours in Shrewsbury this December

Related topics: Leisure, culture and heritage

The 1984 film of “A Christmas Carol” was filmed on location in Shrewsbury 30 years ago.  For anyone who has enjoyed this version of the classic story, there is a chance to join A Christmas Carol guided tours in December.

The tours will take place on Saturday 20 December and Sunday 21 December 2014, and there will be two tours on each day – one in the morning at 11am, and a second one in the afternoon at 2pm.

The guided tours will explore the areas of Shrewsbury where filming took place, and each will last an hour and a half.

These tours were very popular last year, so advance booking is essential.

Tickets are available now from the Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery (at the old Music Hall building).

Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children (16 and under).  Please ring 01743 258888 to book over the phone.  The office is open Tuesdays to Sundays 10am to 4.30pm.
