Ben Sutton Jones, a Shropshire Health Champion born with cerebral palsy, will proudly launch his very own Saturday morning exercise project this weekend in the Dingle. A (hopefully) bright and early start of 8.45 will see the inaugural Disability Action Running Team event.

Ideal for young people with disabilities or those looking for a regular and gentle exercise, Ben hopes the project will enable anyone and everyone to come together with like-minded people and start their weekend together get keep active and celebrate what can be achieved against the odds with guts and determination.

Ben said:

“I think young people with disabilities are not encouraged enough to be active. My project does that. It is suitable for all people wanting to start exercising. It’s great fun so turn up and join us!”

Professor Rod Thomson, Director of Public Health for Shropshire, will be joining them and said:

“This is a great event to get people together for a light exercise on the weekend. I’m immensely proud of Ben for putting this together and for providing another option for people with disabilities or for families to join together and keep themselves active.”
