The StrettonDale Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an important meeting planned for Thursday 6 November 2014 at the Silvester Horne Institute in Church Stretton at 7pm.

The main item will be the proposals for the future delivery of services currently housed in the library building in the town.

Representatives from Shropshire Council will be present to give an overview of the proposals and seek your views.

Also on the agenda is information on place plans for the StrettonDale LJC area, an update on the Connecting Shropshire broadband programme, and proposals to increase the size of the LJC and co-opt key partners onto the committee.

Tim Barker, chairman of the LJC, said:

“This is an important meeting for Church Stretton and the surrounding area.  The services delivered from the library are used by many local residents, and the views of users are essential to the development of the proposals for future service delivery.”

The meeting will also include an update from the Church Stretton local policing team regarding local crime and safety initiatives, and reports on news and events from the parishes that form the LJC.

Representatives from the local policing team will be available from 6.30pm if you wish to discuss any matters on a one-to-one basis.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.

There will be a drop in session from 2.30pm – 6.30pm on the same day (Thursday 6 November) at the Silvester Horne Institute to find out more details on the proposals for the services housed in the library.
