Walk and train ride in the Severn Valley on 27 September 2014

Shropshire Council’s outdoor recreation service is inviting people to discover the Severn Valley on a nine-mile riverside walk and train ride from Alveley to Bewdley on Saturday 27 September 2014 from 9.15am-4.30pm.

The route will follow the River Severn downstream past Arley, Victoria Bridge and the Elan Valley pipeline to Bewdley.  At Bewdley there will be an opportunity to eat your packed lunch or purchase some food from the town.  The party will then make its way to Bewdley Railway Station and catch the Severn Valley steam Railway back to the Country Park Halt.

Please bring a packed lunch and drink, wear walking boots and bring waterproofs in case of rain.  The charge is adults £10, children £6.

Meet at the Visitor Centre and Teashop, open Wednesdays to Sundays 11am to 4pm and every day during school holidays.
