Anti-social behaviour – we’ve all heard the phrase, but how many of us know what to do when faced with it? The Local Policing Team, The Oswestry Tenant Working Group and Shropshire Towns & Rural Housing (STAR Housing) are hosting an open meeting for tenants and residents to learn more about what it is, what they can do and how the Police and STAR Housing are able to help them.

The event will take place on Thursday 11th September at Yorkfields in Oswestry between 6 and 7.30pm. During the evening there will be a Police Community Support Officer and two of STAR’s Housing officers on hand to speak about their roles in dealing with anti-social behaviour and to take to questions from the floor.

Margaret Smith, Chair of the Oswestry Tenant Working Group said:

“We’re really pleased to be able to hold an open meeting about this important issue. What better way to learn more than to hear from the officers who deal with these issues on a day to day basis. Hopefully people will leave the meeting knowing the role of different agencies in dealing with ASB, as well as their own responsibilities when it comes to recording and reporting it.”

Booking for the evening is not required, you are free to drop in on the night and get the answers to your questions, but if you would like more information on the event you can call Emma or Lauren at STAR Housing on 01743 210 205.
