Related topics: Leisure, culture and heritage

Whitchurch Library will be operating a temporary service from 10 March 2014 to 29 March 2014 in the Library Garage at the rear of the building.  Access is via St Mary’s Street.

This is to allow for essential building work which is being carried out as part of the refurbishment of the Civic Centre.

Opening hours will be Monday 1.30pm to 4pm; and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 4pm.  There will be a limited range of stock available, and items can be borrowed, renewed or returned.  There will be no access to computers during this time.

Gwilym Butler, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for leisure, libraries and culture, said:

“Access to library services will be limited, and we recognise the inconvenience that this will cause.  We would like to say a big thank you to our readers and customers for their continued support during the building works.  Staff should also be commended for wanting to maintain a service under difficult conditions.  We hope to be back to normal as soon as possible.”
