Super sprinters and willing walkers will all feel at home with a choice of one, three or six miles. Places are limited so please sign up as soon as possible by going to www.sportrelief.com. Bookings on the day can only be taken if there are spaces available. The entrance fee is £6 for adults, £3 for children under 16 and £15 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children).

Les Winwood, Shropshire Council Deputy Cabinet member for leisure, said:

“This is the third time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Shrewsbury so really get ourselves ready to race. Whether you’re there to push yourself to the limit or just make it through with a smile on your face, it’s a great way to help the cause. There is something for everyone so why not get your friends to whip out the retro headbands, get involved and have some fun!”
