Residents of Sundorne and Battlefield are invited to attend the North East Shrewsbury Local Joint Committee (LJC) meeting on Tuesday 21 January 2014 at 7pm at The Lantern, Meadow Farm Drive, Sundorne.

The meeting will focus on Sundorne and Battlefield, and will provide residents with the opportunity to learn more about, and to comment on, local projects taking place in their community.

Veolia will be providing the latest information on the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility (incinerator).

Other agenda items include an update on local policing, an update on the fire service, and the Connecting Shropshire broadband programme.

Decisions will also be taken on a number of local projects applying for grant funding from the LJC.

Councillor Kevin Pardy, Chair of the LJC, said:

“This meeting promises to be very interesting, with presentations from both Veolia and the Connecting Shropshire team.  I would urge residents to come along,  to ask questions and to find out more about what’s happening in our area.”
