The StrettonDale Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Thursday 7 November 2013 at Cardington Village Hall at 7pm.

Representatives from Shropshire Council will be in attendance to give an update on rural transport, and targeted work in Church Stretton aimed at decreasing dog fouling.

Residents are encouraged to come along and raise any flooding concerns, in a new standing item on the agenda.

Tim Barker, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“Transport, dog fouling and flooding are common areas for concern in our communities, and this is your opportunity to come along and contribute to the discussion.”

The meeting will also include an update from the Church Stretton local policing team regarding local crime and safety, and there will be news and event reporting from the parishes that form the LJC.

The committee will also consider funding applications that have been received since the last meeting.  All of the remaining budget for 2013/14 will be allocated at this meeting.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, there is a community safety event at the Mayfair Centre, a drop in event from 9am until 12midday, this Friday 1 November 2013.
