October half-term is around the corner and there’s a fantastic range of fun school holiday activities planned at Shropshire’s leisure centres from Monday 28 October 2013 – Friday 1 November 2013 to entertain the kids during the half term holidays.

Shrewsbury Sports Village is launching its ‘Superstars’ Holiday Club this October half term, offering a wide range of holiday fun from ghoulish treasure hunts to spooky mask making to pumpkin carving.  For ages 5-12 years, there’s a jam packed programme of sporting and non-sporting activities to choose from.

Half day, full day and full week options are now available for pre-booking, with a 20% discount on full week bookings for the Superstars Holiday Club until 23 October.

At the Quarry Swimming Centre, there’s a pool programme of guaranteed frighteningly good fun, including a Halloween-themed ‘spooky swim’ on Thursday 31 October from 12midday-3pm, including facepainting.  The swim sessions have been split into two slots due to demand, so booking in advance is encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Brian Taylor, Chairman of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, commented:

“It’s fantastic to see such a variety of activities programmed during the school holidays, which provide a balance of fun and recreational classes for local families and the community.”
