Energy and money advice on hand at Oswestry Market

Related topics: Community

As part of Energy Saving Week, Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing will be hosting a stall at the market in Bailey Head, Oswestry on Wednesday 23 October 2013.

Officers will be on hand to provide information and advice on how to save energy in the home, how to budget, and how to get financial support, such as debt advice and managing a bank account.

Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing is a leading member of SUSTAIN Consortium, who provide help for vulnerable adults of any age, supporting them to develop skills and to be able to maintain living in their own home and independently within the community.

Sue Adams, Managing Director of Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing, said:

“We are committed to ensuring our tenants have access to the support they need and to help them maintain their tenancy.

“With winter fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about how you can save energy and money throughout the coming months, especially in light of the frequent energy rises and the national changes to benefits.

“I really want to urge our tenants to come along to speak to our officers at Oswestry Market on Wednesday to see how we can help them find alternative ways to help them save money.”

If you are a Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing tenant and feel that you would benefit from our advice, then please come along to our stall at Oswestry Market.
