Local housing associations recently joined forces with a team of Chartered Accountants from Whittingham Riddell to spruce up Greenfields Court community garden in Bridgnorth.

Working with Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing, Shropshire Housing Group and Shropshire Councils Community Action Team, the team of staff from Whittingham Riddell volunteered their time and skills to help clean up the garden.

The project is as part of an on-going regeneration scheme to improve the outdoor communal space for residents, friends and family of Greenfields Court.

Kitted out with gloves, spades, forks and trowels, the green fingered crew spent the day weeding, cutting hedges and creating flower beds.

Sylvia Baker, chair of the residents committee at Greenfields Court said;

“We are really grateful to the volunteers from Whittingham Riddell who helped us well and truly spruce up our garden. The area is looking so much better now and we are really looking forward to seeing it in the spring. It’s going to be a great place for our residents to relax and enjoy.”

Mrs Katie Bell from Whittingham Riddell added;

“Everyone really enjoyed the day we all had fun cleaning up the garden and making it look nice and tidy. It was lots of fun and we hope that the residents will make more use of and enjoy the garden more now.”
