To celebrate 100 years since the birth of Ellis Peters (Edith Pargeter), two Brother Cadfael guided walks will be held on the weekend of 28 September and 29 September 2013, in honour of her popular Brother Cadfael novels.

The guided walks will start at the Visitor Information Centre at Rowley’s House, and finish at the Abbey 90 minutes later with a chance to visit the home of Brother Cadfael. The walks will be led by knowledgeable town guides who have Brother Cadfael as one of their specialist subjects.

The tours will start at 11am on Saturday 28 September – which would have been her 100th birthday – and 11.15 on the Sunday.

The tours are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children (age 16 and under). Tickets must be bought in advance for these tours.

Tickets are on sale at Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre at Rowley’s House, Barker Street, Shrewsbury. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Alternatively tickets can be purchased over the phone.

For information or to buy a ticket via phone, you can call the Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre on 01743 258888.
