South planning committee decisions – 16 July 2013

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s South planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 16 July 2013 in Bridgnorth.

Broad Oak Stables, Tuckhill, Alveley, Shropshire (13/01589/FUL)

Change of use of land to equestrian use.

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to the permission being for a temporary period of three years.

Temporary siting of a log cabin.

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.

Change of use of agricultural storage building to equestrian use.

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to the permission being for a temporary period of three years. 

Wayside Cottage, Ashford Carbonell, Ludlow, Shropshire, SY8 4BX (13/0820/FUL)

Erection of a two storey rear extension and erection of a detached garage/annexe.

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Astbury Falls Chalets, Astbury, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 6AT (13/00889/VAR)

Variation of Condition No.2 (approved layout) to allow for different orientation of two holiday chalets; formation of turning area; retention of one re-sited holiday chalet and revised turning area (amended description).

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to the floor level of the westernmost plot being lowered in line with the existing concrete base. 

Barns opposite Lower Rudge Farm, Rudge Road, Lower Rudge, Pattingham, Shropshire (13/01281/VAR)

Removal of Condition No.10 attached to planning permission reference 11/02442/FUL to allow use as residential dwellings.

Decision: That planning permission be refused in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Land adjacent Rhea Hall Estate, Highley, Bridgnorth, Shropshire (13/01413/FUL)

Mixed residential development of ten dwellings (following demolition of all buildings on site); provision of estate roads and communal garden area; erection of boundary fencing/wall; tree works.

Decision: That this application be deferred to a future meeting in order for the applicant to submit an improved layout and design more in keeping with the local area. 

Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club, Wyre Common, Cleobury Mortimer, Kidderminster, Shropshire (13/01584/COU)

Change of use of western area driving range/practice area for siting of additional holiday chalets.

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Three Gables, Grange Park, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, WV7 3EN (13/01681/FUL)

Erection of two storey side extension following demolition of existing to be used as ancillary accommodation to main dwelling.

Decision: That, in order to minimise any adverse impact on the adjacent neighbours, this application be deferred in order for the applicant to submit a revision to the design and create a greater distance from the boundary with the neighbouring property.
