Come along to Shifnal and Sheriffhales LJC

The next meeting of the Shifnal and Sheriffhales Local Joint Committee (LJC) will be held on Tuesday 16 July 2013 at The Village Hall, Aston Street, Shifnal starting at 7pm. 

Shropshire Council officer Helen Howie will be attending to update the meeting on planning (SAMDev) issues, as well as giving the public the opportunity to ask questions. 

Members of the local policing team will also be on hand to discuss issues of local concern.

Also on the agenda will be the consideration of the grant applications received for this meeting.     

Applications for projects being considered for funding at this meeting are: 

  • Shifnal Theatrical and Repertory Society
  • Shifnal (St Andrews) Youth Club x 2
  • Shifnal Millennium Sensory Garden
  • Sheriffhales Parish Council
  • Shifnal 1st Scout Group
  • Shifnal Swimming Pool Committee
  • Sheriffhales Village Hall Committee 

Councillor Stuart West said:

“This is your opportunity to speak to your council planning officer and your local councillors direct about the issues that concern you.  Why not come along and take part if you have issues that you want to raise.”  

Councillor Kevin Turley said:

“This is a really important community meeting and everyone’s invited to come along and join in with discussions, and we will try to answer as many questions as we can on the night.  To enable all the community to get involved the venue for this committee alternates around the area.  This meeting is being held at Shifnal Village Hall this time – so put the date in your diary and come along and have your say.”
