South planning committee decisions – 23 April 2013

The following decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s south planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 23 April 2013 in Bridgnorth .

Swancote Country Club, Swancote, Bridgnorth (11/04935/FUL)
Construction of a recreational fishing pool.

Decision: That the application be deferred in order that a Drainage Officer be in attendance at a future meeting to answer questions and provide clarification on drainage issues, the impact of the development on a septic tank on the site, and how the outflow water will be dealt with.

Upper Baveney Farm, Cleobury Mortimer, Kidderminster, DY14 8LF (12/03071/FUL)
Change of use from agriculture to B1/B2 and new building for B1 use.

Decision: That contrary to the Officer’s recommendation, planning permission be granted, subject to a Section 106 Agreement relating to HGV routing requiring all HGVs to be routed to and from the site via the B4363 at its eastern end via the new junction arrangement, and the following conditions relating to:

  • The type of external materials to be used, and in particular cladding to be BS18B29;
  • Ecology bat boxes;
  • Details of external lighting;
  • Landscaping;
  • Drainage;
  • Provision of passing places;
  • Carrying out of junction improvements at eastern end of Baveney Lane and new mirror at western end;
  • Construction Traffic Management Plan;
  • Use for B1/B2 uses only; and
  • Maintaining footpath access

Land opposite The Old Smithy, Neen Sollars, Shropshire (12/04104/FUL)
Construction of one (affordable) dwelling to include conversion/extension of existingbarn to form garage and installation of septic tank.

Decision: That, subject to a Section 106 Agreement relating to an affordable housing contribution, planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation

Land south of The Royal Oak, Alveley, Shropshire (13/00035/FUL)
Erection of a combined stable and agricultural barn on land adjacent to theRoyal Oak public house (amended submission).

Decision: That planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation

Horse and Jockey, 113 Old Street, Ludlow, Shropshire, SY8 1NU (13/00269/FUL)
Change of use of existing Public House and existing store to form threeresidential dwellings, to include erection of extensions and detached garage.

Decision: That, subject to a Section 106 Agreement relating to an affordable housing contribution, planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation
