Shropshire Council’s Landlord Services and Shropshire Community Council are joining forces on Monday 4 March 2013 at 10am-1pm at Bridgnorth Library to hold an event to help people access cheaper energy.  There will also be other information stands there, including:

  • Marches Energy Agency
  • Cheaper Energy Together
  • Oil-Buying Scheme
  • Fuel Poverty
  • Shropshire Fire and Rescue
  • Shropshire Council’s Landlord Services
  • Utility Warehouse.

This is a free event with information on reducing energy bills (including heating oil), affordable warmth, welfare reform and benefits, housing, and tenancy support.

Councillor Mal Price, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for housing, said:

“There will be some great information available at this session and I encourage people to drop in and pick up a few tips for cutting their bills.  We all know about rising living costs and that is why this event is taking place; to help people reduce household bills, especially on energy.”

It is a free, drop-in session, held at Bridgnorth Library, Listley Street, Bridgnorth, WV16 4AW.
