Related topics: Community / Leisure, culture and heritage

There will be two ‘social media for beginners’ classes running at Weston Rhyn Institute on Monday 5 November 2012 and Monday 12 November 2012.  The classes will run from 7pm to 8.30pm.

The first week will look at setting up a Facebook account and using the site to communicate with friends and family.  The second week will explore how to get started on using twitter and how to ‘tweet’.

There is the option to attend one or both of the sessions.

The courses cost £4 per session, payable on the day.  Places are limited so booking is essential.  There are computers available at the Institute, or participants are welcome to bring their own laptop or device.  A wireless Internet connection is available.

Anyone taking part does not need to be an IT expert, but a basic knowledge of using the Internet is essential, and a personal email address is required to set up an account on Facebook or twitter.

For more information or to book a place on the course please contact Sara on 01743 252571 or email broadplaces@shropshire.gov.uk.
