Shropshire Council and their contractor Veolia are reminding residents that there will be no waste collections taking place on Monday 27 August 2012, due to the August Bank Holiday.  As such all general rubbish, garden waste and recycling collections will be rescheduled for the entire week.

The revised collection schedule is as follows:

  • Mondays collections will instead take place on Tuesday 28 August.
  • Tuesdays collections will instead take place on Wednesday 29 August.
  • Wednesdays collections will instead take place on Thursday 30 August.
  • Thursdays collections will instead take place on Friday 31 August.
  • Fridays collections will instead take place on Saturday 1 September.

Councillor Mike Owen, Shropshire Councils Cabinet member with responsibility for waste management, said:

“We want to remind all residents that all waste and recycling collections will be one day later than usual this week due to the August Bank Holiday.  These dates are already advertised on the collection calendars and you can also double check your dates by visiting shropshire.gov.uk/binday.”
