New Enable Shropshire Facebook page

Related topics: Community / Health

A new Facebook page has been launched by Enable Shropshire, which is a nationally- recognised Shropshire Council employment service for people with disabilities.

The Facebook page has been created to increase the ways Enable communicates with and listens to customers about its work, the support available and other initiatives and activities that may be of interest.

Steve Charmley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for disability, said:

“Enable has a successful track record of getting people with mental health problems and learning disabilities into work.

“With the help of innovative employment schemes and approaches, Shropshire is performing well above the national average, and is nationally one of nine Centres of Excellence of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) in mental health employment.

“We are continually working to expand the ways that people can find out more about Enable and the support we can offer.  Having a dedicated Facebook page means we can increase the variety of channels through which Enable is already available, and offer help to those who prefer to use the Internet and social media as a way of gathering information.”

To go to the page, search for ‘Enable Shropshire’ on Facebook and ‘Like’ the page, or click here.
