Want some careers advice and help finding a job?  Come and meet some of the National Careers Service team who will be speaking at a special Work Club in Oswestry Library on Friday 22 June 2012 from 10.30am-11.30am and find out how they can help you.

The National Careers Service is a free service available to every adult in England to enable them to make more effective choices about skills, careers, work and life.

Simon Jones, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for adult training and workforce development, said:

“This is a difficult time for people who are out of work or in non-secure employment, and the National Careers Service team have lots of help and advice to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge needed in today’s job search.

“Why not take advantage of this free event in Oswestry Library as part of their fortnightly Work Club, where everyone is welcome to attend whether you are currently out of work or looking for a change in career.”

Work Club provides you with a place to meet, exchange skills, share experiences, find opportunities, make contacts and get support to help you in your return to work.

Some of the other facilities available in Work Club include free use of computers, help with CVs, online job applications, email accounts and job searches, as well as access to books about all aspects of job hunting or starting up your own business, and advice on voluntary work with our Home Library Service.
