A volunteering fair is taking place tomorrow (Friday 25 May 2012) at Oswestry Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

People can drop-in during the morning to meet representatives from local organisations currently looking for volunteers.

The fair is organised by Oswestry Library Work Club in partnership with The Qube.

Gwilym Butler, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for the voluntary and community sector, said:-

“Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable work experience, which can be seen as important on CVs when applying for jobs.  I encourage people in the Oswestry area to come along tomorrow where representatives from the National Trust, Oswestry Community Action, Walking For Health, Oswestry Museum and the home library service will be present to advise about volunteering opportunities and share plentiful information.”
