Shropshire Council is encouraging local people to come along to their next Cleobury Rural Local Joint Committee (LJC) to talk about the issues that matter to them.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 12 June 2012 at 7pm at Kinlet Village Hall, DY12 3BS.

The committee is made up of three Shropshire councillors and one representative from each town and parish council, which include Burford, Boraston, Coreley, Cleobury Mortimer, Farlow and Oreton, Hopton Wafers, Neen Savage, Kinlet, Milson and Neen Sollars, Wheathill, Stottesdon and Sidbury.

Councillor Madge Shineton, Chair of Cleobury Rural LJC, said:

“At the meeting on Tuesday 12 June, Cleobury Rural LJC will be considering applications for funding.  Shropshire Fire and Rescue is also on the agenda.  A representative from Shropshire Council’s elections team will be there to publicise the electoral registration  process, ie voting at elections, how to apply for a postal vote, and how to become a councillor.  There will also be an update on the Cleobury Mortimer Plan.”

As usual the local police will be on hand for the public to drop in between 6.30pm and 7pm, and will later give an update on the whole area.
