Residents of Monkmoor Court and the surrounding area in Oswestry will be treated to a free lunch and cookery demonstration on Monday 20 February 2012.

Shropshire Council’s landlord services team has organised the event in conjunction with the ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ campaign, and everyone is welcome to attend – but spaces are being reserved on a first come, first served basis.

The event will start at 11am and will involve a chef cooking a vegetable paella in a giant pan, along with a talk on healthy eating, how to avoid wasting food and making the best use of leftovers.

Everyone will then be able to tuck in to the paella for lunch.

Call or text Emma Feely, Shropshire Council’s resident involvement officer in Oswestry, to book a place on 01691 677361 or 07582 003701.  Priority will be given to those living in the east Oswestry area.
