World Café comes to Ruyton-XI-Towns

Residents of Ruyton-XI-Towns are invited to share their views about the future of the village at a special event on Tuesday (22 November 2011).

The World Café event will be held at St John the Baptist CE Primary School, in Ruyton-XI-Towns, on Tuesday from 7pm.

Local councillor, Aggie Caesar-Homden, said everyone was invited to come along and tell the council what their priorities were for the village, so they could be taken into account for any future development.

Councillor Caesar-Homden said:

“We are looking to build an evidence base of local people’s views so we know what the residents of Ruyton value for the future.  We want to know what makes Ruyton such a great place to live, and how that can be included in any future development plans that may come along.”

World Café events are more informal and inclusive than traditional public meetings, with the venue set out like a café for people to chat among themselves about the topics on the agenda.  People can also write down their views and comments, so don’t have to speak out in front of the group if they don’t want to.

The event has been organised by Shropshire Council, and for more information contact the council’s community action officer, Corrie Davies, on 01691 677306 or by emailing corrie.davies@shropshire.gov.uk
