Work underway on A49 Shrewsbury to replace damaged kerb

Related topics: Community

Urgent works are being carried out on the A49 (southbound) on the approach to Preston roundabout in Shrewsbury, to replace a badly damaged kerbline.

The kerbline has  been damaged by overriding heavy vehicles.

The leftside lane on the approach to the island (from A49) needs to be closed to safeguard the work force, and also to protect the newly laid kerbs.

There is no diversion route as access is still available.

Works are expected to continue until this Friday 25 November, and the work will be monitored and lane restrictions lifted as soon as possible.
