Road repairs at Horsebridge Road Roundabout, Minsterley

The B4387 Minsterley to Horsebridge road will be closed to traffic at its junction with the B4499 road at Horsebridge Road Roundabout in Minsterley from 9am until 4.30pm on Wednesday 26 October 2011.

Unfortunately the road closure is needed to enable localised repairs to be carried out to the road surface at the roundabout.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted along the B4499 and B4386 roads via Brockton and Worthen.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available at the roundabout throughout the proposed work.  However, it may be necessary on occasions to delay people for short periods for safety reasons.

When the work is underway, the Minsterley Bridge to Brockton road will remain open to traffic at the roundabout under traffic light control.

Steve Price, environment group manager, said:

“It is appreciated that the proposed road closure will cause some inconvenience and everyone involved with the work will do all that they can to reopen the road as soon as possible.  The timing of the proposed work has been chosen to coincide with the school half-term holidays to avoid disrupting school-related traffic.”
