See Live Life : your way event live now on ustream

Residents have a unique opportunity now to view Shropshire Council’s Live life: your way feedback event on Friday 23 September 2011.  Anyone who has been unable to attend today’s event can now view it live at: www.ustream.tv/user/shropshirecouncil.

Hosted by Shropshire Council, the event is being held at the Council Chamber, Shirehall, Shrewsbury from 9:30am–12pm ,where you will get the opportunity to hear what residents have told us so far and what the next steps will be in shaping the vision of adult social care in Shropshire.

Today’s event will be the last of the public events across the county giving residents the opportunity to get involved.  The event will present the key themes and messages that have come out of the meetings we have had with people who use our services, their family carers and the organisations that support vulnerable people.  The event will also involve a brief explanation of the process involved in the creation of the new vision for adult social care.

The ‘Live life: your way’ consultation has provided the opportunity for everyone to shape the future of adult social care in Shropshire.

We have talked to over hundreds of people so far and now want to give you the opportunity at the Live life: your way feedback event today, to find out what people have told us what they value, and what is important to them.

Throughout these few months, we have listened to many inspirational stories and truly innovative and creative ideas.   Your views, opinions and ideas have been so important to help us shape the vision of adult social care for the future.
