The parking review across all of Shropshire’s market towns has been completed, with a new charging structure being introduced in Whitchurch from Monday 5 September.

Shropshire Council’s cabinet member for transport, Councillor Simon Jones, said:

“The new charging structures are being introduced in Whitchurch on Monday 5 September and form the final phase of a review across all market towns in Shropshire.

“I know car parking charges are never popular, but I hope people realise we are doing this to be fair across the county – we are providing one hour free for pop and shop parking requirements in Brownlow Street and Newtown Car Parks and it is only a 10 pence charge for two hours. Sherrymill Hill Car Park remains free all day.”
