Plans for the future development of Much Wenlock are to be presented and discussed at the Much Wenlock and Shipton Local Joint Committee (LJC) meeting on Wednesday 20 July 2011 at The Priory Hall, Much Wenlock.

Representatives from the Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group will be present along with councillors from Shropshire Council and the town and parish councils to outline progress.  Information will also be available on proposals for the Market Towns Revitalisation Programme.

Residents of the area will also be able to hear about the work of the local Friendly Bus and will have the opportunity to find out how to become a volunteer.

Councillor Milner Whiteman explained:

“We hope local people will come along and learn about some crucially important issues that affect us all.  You can only have your say if you get involved and we urge you to come.”

The meeting will also consider a range of projects that have been submitted for funding.

The meeting is to be held at The Priory Hall, Much Wenlock at 7pm on Wednesday 20 July 2011.  Members of the local policing team will be in attendance to listen to any concerns or issues.
