Free dance workshop in Shrewsbury

Dance teachers, group leaders and artists are invited to attend a free dance master class workshop next week (Thursday 21 July 2011).

The workshop will take place at The Hive in Shrewsbury from 2.30pm to 4pm and is being led by international choreographer Santosh Nair and composer Praveen Rao, as part of a project called Moving Earth.

Moving Earth is a West Midlands-wide dance project which aims to create new choreography by mixing martial arts-based dance forms such as Kalaripayattu and Chhau from India with the cutting edge contemporary dance forms developing in the UK.

Local dance groups, dance artists and group leaders are being invited to participate in the project, which will include; dance workshops, performance opportunities and participation in dance film.
