An application from Shelton Cricket Club for funding to refurbish their wicket covers and roller, and purchase a tarpaulin for wicket cover on match days, will be considered at the next meeting of Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook Local Joint Committee on Thursday 7 July.

The meeting is being held at Radbrook Primary School, Calverton Way, Shrewsbury and starts at 7pm.

An application by the Cafe Connect church charity on Radbrook shopping centre to replace worn out kitchen equipment will also be considered

The meeting agenda includes updates on local activity from councillors, police, fire and rescue and the area’s community action officer, and gives the local community the opportunity to raise any issues.

There will be a report on the future of the urban extension around the Welshpool Road area and other local planning issues.

Councillor Peter Nutting, Chairman of the committee, said:

“This is an excellent opportunity for local people to be brought up to date on planning issues in our area and to understand the processes that will be gone through before any final decisions are made.”
