Parents and carers with children under the age of five are invited to join a free museum workshop at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesday 13 July 2011 from 10:30am to 11am.

“Under 5s Museum Fun” is a new series of monthly events for pre-schoolers where children have the chance to explore dinosaur bones, beetles and butterflies, birds, historic toys and much more.  The sessions, which are organised by enthusiastic museum volunteers, are open to new participants.

During the workshop children can enjoy stories, games and art activities related to the museum’s beautiful beetle and butterfly collection.

The July session is the last one before the summer break and will take place in the geology gallery at Rowley’s House.

“Under 5s Museum Fun” lasts half an hour and is free of charge.  Pre-booking is required as places are limited.
