There has been much speculation over the last few weeks after the town centre store featured notices in its windows warning people that the store was closing, subject to ongoing negotiations.

The store is now busy gearing up for the final days running up to Christmas and has lots of offers to entice people in, including up to 50% off partywear, nightwear and gifts.

Kevin Lockwood, Shrewsbury shopping centres manager, said:

“We’ve been working closely with the store over the last few weeks and we’re delighted that they’ve decided to stay within Pride Hill Centre.

“The store is an important part of the centre’s offer and we wish them the very best.”

Peacocks is a part of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill group and has more than 6,000 staff across the UK, offering quality and value through purse-friendly fashion, accessories and gifts for the whole family.
