Stronger together: how health, social care and the voluntary and community sector are working together to support you.

The future plans for the care of people in Shropshire rely heavily on health, social care and the voluntary and community sector working closely together to support people. A lot of work has already taken place to put this in place, and Healthwatch Shropshire is bringing together representatives of some of the major organisations involved: the NHS, Shropshire Council’s social care, housing, Age UK and Citizen’s Advice, to explain how the work they are doing is supporting people now.

Lynn Cawley, Chief Officer of Healthwatch Shropshire, said:

“We know these organisations and others are putting a lot of effort into this area and wanted to give the public the chance to hear how they might be supported, to ask questions about the services available and give feedback about their experiences. We have arranged an afternoon where people can come along to do this and also to try out a couple of activities aimed at improving health and wellbeing. The event is being held on Wednesday 4 March 2020 at the Barnabas Centre, Shrewsbury. People can book online at www.healthwatchshropshire.co.uk or give us a ring on 01743 237884”
