New raised pedestrian crossing point on Raven Meadows in Shrewsbury.

Work is to carried out to install a new raised table pedestrian crossing point on Raven Meadows in Shrewsbury.

Work will be carried out overnight from Wednesday 21 October to Wednesday 4 November between 8pm to 6am on weeknights only

During these times there will be a full road closure on Raven Meadows, Shrewsbury and the one-way system will be rescinded to allow access to the hotel, multi-storey car park and businesses.

Access will also be maintained for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians, and for emergency vehicles on blue light calls.

Access to The Darwin shopping centre for deliveries will be maintained by utilising the bus station. Please follow the delivery access signage.

For all other traffic a signed diversion will be place. Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.

People are asked to ensure vehicles are not parked on the road whilst the work is in progress. This will help ensure that work is completed efficiently and reduce disruption.

Work will be carried out by Kier Infrastructure on behalf of Shropshire Council.
