The Lyneal Trust has been dedicated to providing accessible holidays for families and groups with special needs or vulnerabilities for more than 40 years.

Despite the devasting effect on boat owners and business caused by the canal breach last December, The Lyneal Trust continues to provide accessible narrowboat holidays and days out for families and groups with special needs or vulnerabilities.

The Trust has specially built accessible boats and customised cottages including a day boat. The day boat has no need to change its ability to provide days out for its disabled guests as the area of the canal the Trust uses is fully operational.

A holiday boat, Shropshire Maid,  navigates to Llangollen and the Montgomery canal, as most guests prefer to visit in this direction to enjoy a canal trip over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the 1,400 feet Chirk Tunnel.

Holiday cottages are available for up to eight people in a refurbished wharf cottage and adjacent garden cottages with bedrooms and wet rooms.
