Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton to be resurfaced

The Carding Mill Valley road in  Church Stretton (see map), is to be resurfaced from Monday 12 to Friday 23 January [2026].

During the work the road will be closed from 7am to 5pm each day (weekdays only).

During the closures National Trust parking areas will not be available and public access will be restricted to pedestrians only.

Access to residential properties with the closure will be maintained when safe to do so,

People are asked not to park on the road during the day whilst the work is in progress.

All planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs and on https://one.network/

Work will be carried out by Kier on behalf of Shropshire Council.
