Resurfacing work for two Shrewsbury streets

Work to resurface Mount Pleasant Road and Ditherington Road (Heathgates bank) in Shrewsbury will take place over three consecutive Sundays (19 June, 26 June and 3 July 2011). 

To enable the work to be carried out safely and efficiently, Mount Pleasant Road will need to be closed to through traffic.  However, access for residents will remain available and businesses will be open as usual. 

Ditherington Road will remain open while the work is carried out on this section, and traffic will be controlled under temporary traffic lights, signing and coning. 

Whilst Mount Pleasant Road is closed (between Ditherington Road and Whitemore Road), traffic will be diverted via Ditherington Road, Whitchurch Road, Harlescott Lane, Lancaster Road, Mount Pleasant Road and  vice versa.
