The next meeting of the Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook Local Joint Committee will be held at 7pm on Thursday 17 February at Christchurch, Shelton and Oxon, The Old School Hall, Welshpool Road.

The packed agenda includes many items of local concern raised at previous meetings and through the recent community-led planning survey.

People at the meeting will be able to discuss speeding and parking, the Local Transport Plan/bus strategy, the 2011 Census, and Shropshire Council’s budget
for 2011/12.

The meeting will also be discussing speed-activated signs to help reduce excess speeds on roads in the area, and people are asked to come to the meeting to suggest suitable sites.

They will also be able to hear reports from local councillors, hear updates from the police and fire and rescue service, find out about funding opportunities and raise any local issues in the public question time.

Councillor Peter Nutting, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“Our LJC has become a well-established forum to address local issues and for local people to raise their concerns. This meeting’s agenda reflects the committee’s ongoing commitment to address local issues and provide financial support to local initiatives.”
