Whitchurch and Prees Local Joint Committee to hear about Parking Strategy
The next Whitchurch and Prees Local Joint Committee meeting is on Wednesday 4 October 2017 at Tilstock Village Hall. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
People are invited to come along to meet and speak with their councillors.
The evening will start with a presentation by Steve Davenport, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for highways and transport, supported by Shropshire Council’s transport commissioner, to discuss the proposals in the new Parking Strategy, consultation on which closes on 17 October. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions regarding the new strategy and the potential impact on Whitchurch and the surrounding area, as well as an opportunity for questions on general highways issues.
Councillor Peggy Mullock, Chair of Whitchurch and Prees LJC, said:-
“We raise the issues that affect you.”
Whitchurch Men in Sheds will be giving a presentation on their interesting worldwide movement. You will hear all about unique places of skill-sharing and informal learning, of purpose, achievement and social interaction, a place where men can come together to work or just to have a chat. Join us if you would like to find out how to support the movement, or better still become a member; you will receive a warm welcome.
The local policing team will provide an update at the meeting on local crime trends and answer any questions you may have relating to them. A representative from the ambulance service will also be providing an update.
