Shropshire Council’s outdoor partnerships team are calling on all runners to enter the Severn Valley Trail Run on Sunday 11 June 2017.

The event is held at Severn Valley Country Park in Alveley and is set to be bigger than ever this year, with entrants tackling either a 5km or 10km distance. Both routes are entirely off-road and take in riverside, meadows and woodlands, with spectacular views across the valley.

The event is being sponsored by four local companies: Stinky-ink, Doolittle and Dalley, Integrated Grounds Maintenance, and Enville Brewery. There will be prizes for the winners in each age category, a medal for all finishers, water and snacks. Runners will benefit from chip timing, meaning that their race times will be available immediately after the event. The teashop at the park will also be open serving drinks and food
