Bus and School routes operating following administration of GHA coaches
GHA COACHES UPDATE 14 July 2016:
Please see update following our previous announcement on bus and school transport routes affected due to the administration of GHA coaches.
Our passenger transport team have been working hard to find solutions to maintain all routes.
Routes now operating:
Operated by Arriva – with effect from Thursday 14 July 2016
- 436 Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury
- 576 Oswestry to Shrewsbury
- 96 Telford to Shrewsbury
- 511 Whitchurch to Shrewsbury
Secondary School Routes – With effect from Thursday 14 July 2016
- BA1028 – Kinton to Corbet School now Lakeside Coaches
- MW1057 – Cound to William Brookes School now Caradoc Coaches
SEN Routes (Special Educational Needs)
SEN routes to Severndale school – Officers are currently in discussions with operators to re-commence these routes with effect from Monday 18 July 2016, further details regarding these operators will be announced on Friday and parents will be contacted directly with these details.
- X11574 – Shrewsbury Area: Harlescott, Ditherington and Castlefields to Severndale School
- X11471 – Shrewsbury Area: Coton Hill, Coton Mount to Severndale School
- X11603 – Whitchurch Area to Severndale School
501 Ellesmere to Shrewsbury – This service was commercially operated by GHA and not one subsidised by the council. However, The council have agreed to provide interim emergency arrangements for this service.
With effect from Monday 18 July 2016 this service will be operated by Lakeside Coaches.
Remaining Public Transport Routes
205 Whitchurch Town service and 101 Bridgnorth Town Service – Council Officers are working to find an alternative provider as soon as possible, a further update on these services will be provided on Friday 15 July 2016.
