Mrs Larney, was Shropshire County Councillor for the Church Stretton division from 1985 to 2001, and Chairman of the council from 1999 to 2001.
She lived in Shropshire for over 50 years, but had been living close to family for the past three-and-a-half years.
Mrs Larney died peacefully on Friday 6 May 2016 in West Sussex at the age of 94 and her funeral was held in Crawley on 24 May.
Caroline Wright, Mrs Larney’s daughter, said:
“My mother was very keen to have a service in Shropshire, a county she loved and a community she served in so many ways for a great many years and so we hope that we will be joined on the 21st by a wide range of her friends and former colleagues.”
