News from our partners Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)

Young people, carers, parents and stakeholders are being urged to have their say on emotional wellbeing services across Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire.

Telford & Wrekin CCG and Shropshire CCG, as well as Telford & Wrekin Council and Shropshire Council, have joined together to work on a project that will change emotional health and well-being services for children and young people across the area for the better.

They want to speak to people who use services to explore:

“What needs to happen to build strong emotional well-being and resilience in children, young people (0-25s) and their families in Shropshire, and Telford and Wrekin?”

Deputy Executive Anna Hammond is the Senior Responsible Officer for the project, on behalf of the four organisations involved.

She said:

“We want to know what needs to happen so that young people feel supported, stay independent and improve their emotional health and well-being. What people tell us will help us to design better services that enable young people to be resilient and maintain control of their life and health.”

If you would like to share your experiences and help us to help improve services then please contact Julie Beevor at julie.beevor@nhs.net or call 0300 404 2999 extension 6595, and one of our team will contact you to arrange a meeting – this can be done on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting.

Our team will have consent forms with them for those under 16 who may wish to be involved, so that they can be signed by their parents or carers.

A public engagement event is also being held between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 19 March  in the Walker Room, Meeting House Point, Town Centre, Telford, TF3 4HS, where young people, carers, parents and stakeholders can also attend to help map out what future services could look like.

Places are limited so to register your attendance, please contact Julie Beevor on the contact details on this page.
