Anyone for coffee and cake? Coffee morning at Oak Farm in Ditton Priors

Oak Farm, which offers training in agricultural and horticultural work to people with learning disabilities, is to host a coffee morning on Saturday 17 October 2015.

The coffee morning, to start at 10am until 12 noon, has been arranged by Oak Farm Friends Association (OFFA).

Everyone is welcome to come along to this great family day out in Ditton Priors, which is nestled at the foot of the Brown Clee, the highest hill in Shropshire. The admission price will be £1 per person and will include delicious homemade cakes and either tea or coffee, and a cake stall and raffle.

The delicious cakes will be baked by The Willows tea room, carers and parents.

The tea room is a new venture at the farm as part of the community land trust transfer and is run by young entrepreneur, Emma Buxton.

All monies raised will support OFFA.

Lee Chapman, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for adult services, said:

“Oak Farm is a fantastic place that recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The people who attend Oak Farm are all part of the community, and hosting this coffee morning brings local people in to share the experience. It’s also a great opportunity to showcase what Oak Farm has to offer; I would encourage everyone to attend.”
