The BIG Family Event, a fun-packed free afternoon providing information, guidance and activities for families and children, will be held on Thursday 11 June 2015 at 3pm-6pm at Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Crowmoor, Shrewsbury.

The BIG Family Event will be supported by a number of organisations, including Family Information Service, children’s centre services, West Mercia Police, Shrewsbury Baptist Church and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service. These and many more organisations will be on hand to provide information and advice to parents.

There will also be a wide range of activities on offer to keep children entertained thanks to Shropshire Council’s leisure services team.

Councillor Pam Moseley, Chair of the Local Governance Board in Monkmoor, explained:

“The BIG Family Event in Monkmoor will provide information and help for local families in an informal setting. There will be lots of activities for children, to keep them occupied whilst parents and carers visit the stalls to find out what’s on offer for families locally. Do come along on 11 June – there will be something for all the family.”

This is a free event open to the whole community as well as parents and families.

Come along, find out a little more about services on offer in your area, and most importantly, keep the kids entertained.
