Condover Bridge closure from 5 May 2015 for essential repairs

Condover Bridge will be closed from Tuesday 5 May 2015 for up to three days to enable essential repairs to be carried out.

The bridge carries the carries the Dorrington road over the Cound brook.

The work will involve taking down and rebuilding the part of the damaged downstream parapet.

The bridge must be closed to traffic while the work is being carried out as it is too narrow for the work to be carried out safely with the bridge open to traffic.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted via Dorrington and along the A49.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available at the bridge throughout the work.
