Mytton Bridge will be closed from Tuesday 5 May 2015 for up to eight weeks to enable essential repairs to be carried out.

The bridge carries the carries Mytton Lane over the River Perry at Mytton.

The work will involve anchoring of the south east wing wall which is leaning heavily, repairs to the south parapet, and repairs to both abutments. These repairs are considered essential to ensure the long term future of the bridge.

The bridge must be closed to traffic while the work is being carried out as it is too narrow for the work to be carried out safely with the bridge open to traffic.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted via Fitz.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available at the bridge throughout the work.
