Roadworks on Soulton Road in Wem further delayed

Completion of the roadworks at Soulton Road, Wem is going to be further delayed, as the ongoing supply difficulties for materials restricted the availability of contractors to carry out the surfacing element of the work as planned.

A revised timetable has been sent to residents, with work scheduled to resume under road closure in the afternoon on Monday 20 April 2015, with a completion date on Friday 24 April 2015. The road will be open under temporary traffic signals until Monday 20 April 2015.

The supply difficulties which have delayed the completion have been brought about by a surge in the construction economy across the Midlands.
